Where Can I Serve?

At Lebanon Baptist, we want to equip disciples as they follow Jesus. It is inevitable that as believers follow, they will serve. Below you will find various opportunities for service. This is not an exhaustive list but is an excellent place to “find a place” for service.

Grow and learn with LBC Kids & Youth

kids

In addition to our Wednesday night and Sunday morning activities, our children’s department holds quarterly special events such as Trunk or Treat, drive-in movies, and a Valentine’s dance. We always have a blast and are eager to have more volunteers involved. During the summer, we host Vacation Bible School where we immerse children in all sorts of activities that help them grow in their faith. This summer we are looking forward to going on a Cave Quest together!  Contact our children’s ministers here for more info!

youth

The purpose of the Lebanon Baptist Youth Ministry is to help students understand things from a biblical worldview.  We aim to foster an atmosphere of discipleship that helps students understand what they believe and why they believe it.  It is our prayer that students will gain an understanding that allows them to live out as well as articulate the Gospel!    1 John 3:1, “See what kind of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.  The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.” Contact our youth director here for more info!

Mission Outreach

Lebanon Baptist is thrilled to be a part of spreading God’s Kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries, serving home and overseas with our money and our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.  Lebanon Baptist actively supports three annual mission offerings:  Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, and the Eliza Broadus State Missions Offering.  Check the Lebanon Baptist’s webpage as well as weekly updates during the Sunday morning worship time for places and times the various groups meet and serve.

Music

We strive to honor God with music at Lebanon Baptist. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play instruments. Some are vocalists in the Praise Team, others are involved in the Choir. These volunteers are an important part of Lebanon Baptist Church’s ministry as they use their talents and gifts to glorify God.  The choir rehearses immediately following Prayer Meeting/Bible Study on Wednesday evenings, usually at 7:45 p.m. Check with our minister of music, Mr. Tim Hooper, about how you can get involved.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Lebanon Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons can be found on Vimeo, are broadcasted on local channel 376, and are also streamed on Facebook Live every Sunday. We also maintain an active Facebook page where you can see everything that is taking place at LBC.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Lebanon Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, prior to the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday following our fellowship meal at 6:00 pm, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.  Check the church website, weekly announcements, and updates during the worship time, or call the church office at (270) 692-3031 for details about how you can get involved.

Deacons

Our Deacons at Lebanon Baptist, are willing to serve in any way necessary. Each week we have a pair of Deacons serving as the “Deacons of the Week”. If there is an individual that is in need of a visit, please alert the “Deacons of the Week”, or if you feel more comfortable with a certain individual, feel free to contact them as well.  Call the church office at (270) 692-3031 with any questions or concerns.  Below is a list of our active Deacons.
